Heavenly Herald postings....

This is Erin reporting again...

Macayla and mommy are resting comfortably, well Macayla is resting more so than Mommy.

Daddy couldn't be more proud of his new little princess!

This is Erin posting for the "Heavenly Herald"....

Little Macayla Lynn has made her debut! FINALLY!

Looks like after being induced yesterday, she came into the world on March 5th at 4:30am weighing in at a healthy and beautiful 8lbs, 2 oz and 21 inches long!

Mom and Dad are tired but doing well. I will be reporting live from the hospital later on today so I will have some pics to share and some comments from both mom and dad!

My last appointment...

I had my last Dr. appointment, Thank God! I am 2 1/2 cm dialated and he stripped my membrance in hopes of helping labor along a little bit. If not, then it looks like Tuesday will be the day! He is guesstimating her to be approx. 8 1/2 lbs. So much for having a 6 pounder huh? Oh well, we are just so excited that any day now she will be here! So stay tuned for some pics when she makes her big debut!

41 Weeks and waiting....

At this point we aren't even counting anymore, we are just waiting!

Well the doctor says that my cervix is completely thinned out and Macayla is in the canal, now we are just waiting for labor to start. She is measuring at 7lbs 4oz. So if I don't go into labor naturally by next Friday, I have a date and time scheduled to induce, March 4th at 7:15am.

So we are keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed that she will make her big debut any day now!

A stubborn lil one...

Well we are now at 40+ weeks, and Macayla is being stubborn. I go every Friday to the doctor, and last Friday, a day before my due date, the doc was going to strip the membrane and hopefully stimulate labor. But he said that since only one side of the cervix was soft he had to fore-go the stripping. So now we are just WAITING! We will know more on Friday if I haven't gone into labor! So once again....stay tuned!

39 Weeks and STILL counting

Well we have good news and bad news....

Let's start with the good news. The good news is that today is my last day at work, it's been very busy for me today trying to finalize everything and prepare myself as well as my clients for my absence. Now as soon as today is over I will be able to relax and hope for Macayla to make her appearance.

The bad news, he's not going to try anything to induce any kind of labor. He said that she will come in time and that I needed to relax and when she's ready, she will come. So we know she is already going to be stubborn. (Now who do you think she gets that from, Mom or Dad?)

So my due date is February 16th and he is content to wait until then before he begins any kind of induction. He says she is ready, her head is in the canal, we are just waiting for my body to be ready and allow her to come down further.

So now that I won't be working I can relax and prepare for her arrival. Keep checking back for more updates or pics of the new addition!
